IT. IS. (ALMOST) FINISHED.
THE RUNDOWN VOL 7: 4/3/26
IT. IS. (ALMOST) FINISHED.
Some of you have achieved the coveted Green Bar Status in the app which means you’re sipping a Mai Tai on the sandy shores of the Pacific in L.A. Some of you are so close you can smell the salt air! (Some of you decided you were tired of the traffic and ran your team all the way back to NYC. Nice.)
So, why are we here? The answer is simple:
You were invited.
You said yes.
There is incredible power in an invitation.
As you look back on the last 40+ days, we challenge you to consider what you’ve done—how far you’ve traveled, the effort you might not have put in on your own. You were likely encouraged by a teammate, motivated by a friend’s 12 RM log. Maybe (hopefully) you attempted a new physical effort…like swimming or a Jane Fonda workout class.
We hope, more than anything, that distance brought you closer to the people in your life—and maybe even helped you find a new friend.
As we close out the Relentless 2800 Challenge, we want to pass the torch with one final challenge:
Invite someone into something.
It could be dinner at your house, a movie, karaoke night, or a spot on your softball team.
For those attending an Easter service this weekend, consider inviting someone to join you. And for those of you who might receive an invitation, remember: adventure and growth live in the power of yes.
THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS
Over at HQ we arm-wrestled about this and Jonob lost. We’re FORGIVING all of your unused Rest Days. (We can almost hear the shouts of joy from here. Or are those shouts of bitter anger? Hard to tell. It’s kind of windy.) Hopefully, if that was keeping you from the Green Bar, you’ll now be able to cross the finish line.
LET’S PARTY
Sharpie in the date Monday, April 13, on your calendar.
For those local to Cincinnati, we’re having a Relentless 2800 Celebration at MadTree in Oakley. From 6-8pm. RSVP: Let us know if you’re coming with this one entry survey.
This is a pretty informal gathering, but we’d love to see you there. We’ll have some t-shirts for sale if you still want to get in on that.
SWAG ALWAYS LOOKS GOOD
Get yourself some sweet swag. You deserve it.
(BTW, we’re not raking in the cash on this swag; we’ve worked with a drop shipper and are basically selling it at cost. However, if you had a good experience, then wearing some swag can help us grow the Relentless brand. Plus, Bevan Binder of team We Carry The Boats designed all the stuff so it looks, sweeeeeeet.)
WHAT COMES NEXT?
Have we said THANK YOU SO MUCH already? Too many times? Well, we really mean it. Relentless is a passion project for HQ and it means a lot to us that you trusted us and engaged on this crazy journey. We’re working hard to make it a better experience every single year, and we’re pouring over all that survey feedback to figure out exactly how to make it the best it can be. If you had a good time, we hope you’ll seriously consider leading a new team next year and extending the reach of this thing. We think people are generally kinda lonely these days, and Relentless is our stab at inviting folks into a better story.
(BTW: This is a WAY TO EARLY teaser announcement, but we MIGHT run a Fall 2026 challenge with smaller teams, less time, less distance, and more craziness. Stay tuned.)
Look for R2800 updates in the app and in your inbox over the next year.
Lent starts February 10 next year, so that Fleet Feet 5K is gonna be CHILLLLLLY!
Thank YOU.
